Preface
The subject of abortion has become a divisive
and controversial topic, which often raises a red flag.
Consequently, the subject matter sometimes finds few avenues
for open discussion. Yet, truth and concerns should never be
compromised in the arena of encounters.
While facts and consequences should never be
altogether avoided, we must decide that our
intentions should never be to inflame or
to enrage opponents, but to exercise common sensitivity
and care to communicate and bring understanding. We must
discern between the person and his actions and/or beliefs. The
person’s behavior or failure to act must never qualify the
nature of genuine love we have for that person.
This does not in the least suggest that we
should reinforce or condone illicit and/or unacceptable
behavior. But we must always exercise caring love and concern.
When we do, we can more easily communicate our honest and
candid warning of pending and possibly severe consequences to
following through, say, with an abortion, in the same manner
we would seek to do in cases of someone we love resorting to
abusive drug use.
Harsh, even brutal, condemnation may rarely in certain
situations shock a person into awareness of reality, but more
often than not, would succeed in polarizing relationships and
press the intended recipient into the role of a hostile
opponent. When any individual person succumbs to raging anger
as he is shoved into the defensive position, it is not likely
that such a person will recognize the truth, much less open
his eyes and respond to that truth. The manner and means of
sharing the truth carries as much import as revealing the
truth itself and sometimes even opens the door to the
opportunity to present the truth

Therefore, we seek earnestly to show sensitivity and
concern reflected through genuine love as we deal with this
subject. This does not in itself alone guarantee that we
never harshly criticize, but reserve that resort to
counter the arrogant and flagrant assaults against
undeniable and conclusive evidence to the contrary of
what the pro-abortionists claim. These outrageous
and unsustainable conclusions blindly and arbitrarily
bulldozed onto everyone else by unscrupulous activists must be
addressed.
However, our first course remains to communicate the truth
to those who do have sufficient integrity to
open their minds to any and all light. We ourselves are
resolved to abide by this same principle when others differ
with us. Since we always do seek to keep open minds to
all light, we feel it reasonable to anticipate that everyone
(including ourselves) will operate by this same principle of
open mindedness to all light. We never expect that every
one else become a duplicate stamp of our own beliefs, for the
truth remains forever greater than all of us combined.
Therefore, everyone of us can learn from every one else.
A Glimmer of Light in
the Darkness
The people who walked in darkness Have seen
a great light; Those who dwell in the land of the
shadow of death, Upon them a light has
shined.
--Isaiah 9:2

Scenarios after scenarios shared among a significant number
of ladies regarding post-abortion syndrome revealed a storm of
darkness like chaotic whirling eddies assaulting and
disorienting, disrupting and intimidating, depressing and
creating floods of guilt—all with seemingly ceaseless and
unrelenting pressure. Many found themselves driven to the
brink of suicide!
These ladies struggling against mountains of difficulties
turned out to be the fortunate ones. Statistics reveal a
dramatic and greatly significant increase in suicides among
those who, for one reason or another, allowed themselves to
concede to abortion.
Those who weathered the tide and continue to persevere
confess that they would sometimes awaken in shock, reaching
out in deep pathos to the flesh and blood of themselves, that
unseen and untouched child. They would weep and wail, driven
to touch the lost child, to cuddle that one in the arms and
express deep remorse for that unbearable loss through
abortion.
Some of these grieved and guilt-tormented women would
recall the questions frequently resounding like a lost echo
deep within. What would little Susie (or John or Mary or
Mark, etc.) have been like by now? Would she (he) be running
to me now, wrapping those little arms firmly around my legs,
looking up into my eyes with a glitter beaming from her (his)
sparkling eyes and saying volumes with the simple murmur of
mama? Why is the house so silent, so vacant and
yet so filled with visions of
what-might-have-been?
The deep pit in which these victims find themselves
does have an escape route. Never
will wounds heal completely, but many of these contrite souls
have taken God’s hand and through His promise in His Word have
been elevated once more to a fruitful life. The sharing of
their plights fulfills a real purpose in a society in which
destructive and savage ploys have ensnared many souls.
Hence, not only has the unborn child been cruelly and
sometimes even sadistically tortured to death in such
procedure, but also the parent has been victimized and often
consigned to suffer untold consequences.
Yet, out of that caldron of evil, God often brings forth
His purpose. Not only have many of the victimized mothers
recovered enough to function once more in society and become
actively involved in sharing their stories, but even
abortion clinic owners have been converted and
fight the battle as well.
One lady who owned three so-called clinics in Texas
renounced her involvement and closed those clinics following
her transformation. Now she has become a very powerful and
dedicated activist for the pro-life movement. Her stories
of horror within the doors of such death houses cause many of
us to shudder at the graphic and morbid procedures! Yet, she
gears her message within the warmth of love. She feels no
need to condemn, but seeks to bring light that can rescue from
ignorance and dissipate the darkness surrounding many within
our society.
The Hardcore
Who Seal out All Light
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put
darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for
sweet, and sweet for
bitter! --Isaiah 5:20

A surgeon testifying in a New York court with respect to
appeal of the Partial Birth Abortion Law
confessed to the graphic nature of the partial birth
abortion procedure. Among other things the judge pressed
him with questions regarding whether the child experienced
pain. The surgeon acknowledged that such was indeed the case,
but such pain had no relevance. Does this then bring up a
question of ethical impropriety? The surgeon’s cold,
detached, arrogant and impudent intransigence left little
doubt concerning his disposition, "Ethics is relative and
can change daily."
We may imagine what the judge could not bring to bear upon the
situation due to restraints of his role, but raw truth can
cut deeply.
May we suppose a moment that the judge could have snapped
back, "In that case, my ethics today will allow me to throw
you in the slammer for a few weeks with only bread and water!
But if I wait until tomorrow, my ethics then may allow me to
place you before the firing squad!"
The fact is that ethics, truth and morality can be no
less than absolute (see relativism).
Those who espouse an agenda detached from any frame of
reference outside themselves, or their own little box, or
their specific self-serving goals, etc., redefine reality to
conform to what they have predetermined that it should
be—nothing more, nothing less. In defiance of the biblical
warning, they often call evil good and good evil, etc.!
At some point these entrenched gods will awaken to
reality. They will be sorely disillusioned to learn that the
whole universe does not revolve around them; neither did they
create reality after all.
There’s a little poem which illustrates well the
self-centered and arrogant person seeking to build his own
edifice as a memorial to himself:
THE PROUD
CARPENTER
Now pull off your hat and have a
seat, and I'll tell you a tale of
woe. It's about a young carpenter whose work was so
neat that his pride turned into his
foe. A boastful lad who worked alone,
he started to build a house. All of his friends had long
since gone, but not a hidden
mouse. He put up the frame and the roof and the
floor, but he built it around that
mouse. He built and he built and he built some
more. He fell in love with the
house. The shell he finished in just one
year, and he smiled with such
delight. Oh, he did admire his house so
dear. It looked to him just
right. Now, he started to finish it up
inside, and he made the walls so
neat. He worked and he worked with his awesome
pride until it was complete. And then
he heard the mouse a squeaking, and
sought to run it out. He ran with his cup, but it was
a leaking, and he began to
shout, "I've spilled my coffee, you dirty
mouse; now get on out the door." He
chased the mouse through all the house,
but did not find a door. Then, he stopped with an awful
painful thought, "I failed to make a
door! This house has brought me now to
naught!" Then, he sadly sat on the
floor. --Anonymous
This humorous fantasy carries with it a very keen insight
into the kind of human nature that resists all light, the kind
of adamancy that detests restrictions and responsibility,
accountability and consequences. These self-made persons
expend enormous amounts of energy to attract others into orbit
about themselves, but like the carpenter in the poem
above, they never make a door to the outside world. They fail
to establish meaningful relationships. Oh, they may have
admirers, but it all has to do with self and self-glory, never
really caring about others except as observers of their own
achievements.
Like the carpenter, who obviously had windows to make use
of the outside light, these persons obsessed with their own
world and what they want to make of it also do
have windows to things beyond, light that could make a
difference. Yet, they remain detached from the outside world,
and that light through their windows simply becomes
illumination to the things at hand, not the outside world
itself. That world beyond themselves they willingly
ignore or deny.
Moreover, these people sealed into their houses,
their own little box, so to speak, love to be in control,
no matter how many people may suffer at their driving
roughshod over them, depriving them of any significance other
than a passing steppingstone to more power, recognition,
prestige and wealth.
The Bible speaks of these self-made exploiters as
willfully blind (John 9:40-41). Such people remain in a
hopeless state until and unless they come to the
decision to respond to the light from beyond their world.
Unfortunately, this type of person sealed off from genuine
light rarely desires to see and know beyond his own
little world.
This type of person who plays the role of a god rarely ever
intends to relinquish his delusion. He fits very comfortably
within the role of physician in an abortion clinic
(a euphemism for torture and death chambers
not very unlike those of Nazi Germany, with the exception that
instead of helpless, dependent infants, the Jewish people of
all ages were targeted).
Certain questions have
been raised with respect to the driving force behind these
so-called physicians resorting to savagery.
1. How can anyone who has taken the Hippocratic
oath destroy human life in violation of that
oath?
Answer: In reality, they find the act of murder to be
justified if one redefines what murder is. A human being who
has not yet been born (or only partially born) finds a legal
redefinition with the help of the courts. That specific infant
receives a redefinition as having no humanity at all! Thus,
what the so-called doctor does is simply remove a mass of
unwanted and useless tissue.
The statement applies equally to this situation when a
noted minister observed that we are educating ourselves into
imbecility! When some courts and some
physicians alike, among others, show contempt for reason and
righteousness, these attitudes and actions reveal that certain
modern educational institutions have produced
ways of evading the truth and of
cultivating a break with reality.
A significant number of judges and justices alike
discard reason and logical processes to arrive at conclusions
destitute of any credible grounds for decisions. When they can
arbitrarily declare a segment of our society as non-entities
(the unborn children), they have unlocked the door to making
legal any thing
in the world their unconscionable agenda may dictate. They
have arrived at that point by throwing out much of our
heritage and value of human life, as in the Declaration of
Independence "…We
hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain
unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…"
Can It be simply a freak chance that LIFE came
first?
Since our Constitution of the United States of America
receives both its proclivity and its moral and spiritual
impetus from that important document, the inclusion of the
word life, as first and foremost, could scarcely have been less
than carefully thought out. The document itself reveals a
well-prepared writing to express the stance of our
forefathers. They quite well knew where they were and where
they intended to go! The Constitution itself never expresses
the least inkling that suggests a break with the Declaration
of Independence. Quite the contrary, the Constitution provides
a strong continuity with the Declaration of Independence and
has no expression to create a gap, as some very dishonest
liberals may seek to suggest.
Most all of these so-called physicians find themselves
engaged in a lucrative, though savage, business. As with many
who aspire to become wealthy, selling out and sacrificing
human life may well be considered a price they willingly pay
for their materialistic gain. Indeed, when persons disconnect
from others and disregard the consequences, they may well leap
into the pit of atrocious acts, simply because they have legal
recourse to do so. Even in our nation, legality can no more be equated
to right than those Nazi officials had legal rights to dispose
of Jews.
The pursuit of avenues to evade truth and all the
responsibilities, the accountability and the consequences
inherent therein takes on many facades and guises. Hence, such
savagery as abortion becomes addressed as
liberty
or freedom and forged as such through the
dastardly and brazen judicial effrontery expressed
through the tyranny of certain justices and judges. Yet, to
grant legal status to torture and murder remains torture and
murder, even under the legal label of the
right to abortion.
2. How can the
rights
of the pregnant woman be protected when she would feel violated without
an option to have an abortion?
This question reflects the central concern from several
feminists’ organizations, as well as a major demand from
Planned
Parenthood. In
other words, this issue, labeled a pro-choice right for women, resounds their battle cry.
But let us not quibble over terminology. After all,
every person has certain legal and innate rights. Women
especially retain the rights inherent within the scope of
decisions relating to personal preferences. Sure, certain
decisions may run counter to spiritual and moral dimensions,
but even Christ did not force decisions of those people around
Him, such that no choice could be permitted. Neither
should it become the role of governments to impose
arbitrary restrictions simply on the grounds that certain
decisions do not measure up to the highest standards.
Many dictatorial governments do demand strict adherence
to prescribed ideas, rules and regulations. The public at
large do not have the right to think, to develop their own
course in life, except as managed and monitored carefully and
closely by the government. Is this what we desire?
The answer to that should be quite obvious to us. We do
not need someone from the top to micromanage our lives, do
we?
Yet, even in a democracy a nation exercises certain
controls for the interest of preserving order, a healthy
atmosphere, a safe haven for homes, and a multiplicity of
other concerns. Most all such regulations within the scope of
society do pose moral and spiritual implications.
While it should forever remain evident that no
government has the right to exercise total control over
people’s lives and decisions, such statement cannot become
relevant to our claim to "rights" that would diminish the
"rights" of any other group, nationality, culture, segment of
society, etc.
Take for example the antebellum era in the South when
slavery found an acceptable niche within the culture. Of
course, some slave owners abused and degraded their slaves,
dehumanizing them. Yet, some slave owners dared care for
their slaves with tender, passionate and unapologetic
management, much as a family unit. Did such kindness,
however, justify slavery for these who showed such
diligence? Most of us would agree that the answer to that
question must be a resounding no! Though such owners exercised kindness, no man should
be subservient to any other person without his choice in
the matter.
How does this illustration apply to abortion? Allow us to consider the
women and their rights such that we may establish the
link.
Most assuredly, women should have (and often do have)
decisions that define who they are and/or who they seek to be
(or become). With respect to pregnancy, women may exercise
preventive measures if they do not wish to become pregnant. Of
course, these most effective preventive pills and other
devices (apart from a hysterectomy, which would remove
possibility of pregnancy altogether) may be only ninety plus
percent effective at best. Yet, they can serve to reduce the
risk. Moreover, abstinence remains a viable alternative
and can be very rewarding, especially for the unmarried young
lady.
But what about the rare pregnancies? What should the
women do in cases of unwanted pregnancies? Does that per
se justify abortion?
If women’s right to choose to terminate their
pregnancies only involved themselves and no one else, a strong
case could conceivably be made to justify so-called abortion.
Yet, most decidedly, our own rights must be defined such that
equitably we preserve the same or comparable rights for every
other human being alive.
Then, the question would arise whether the unborn child
qualifies as a human being.
Historically, slaves were considered property of the
owners and never defined as human beings. In Germany the Nazi
regime defined Jews as much less than human. Now, the courts
have defined the unborn child as a nonentity. Do we see the
connection? Are we once again encumbered with the fight to
recognize the worth of a segment of our society denied
recognition as human beings?
How can
this be?
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when
he is old he will not depart from it.
--Proverbs 22:6
The Bible assumes parental prerogative in care and
discipline of children. Societies throughout history have by
and large recognized and conceded the role of parents to
assume the responsibility of care for and training of their
own children. Parents have been essentially held accountable
for the actions and character of their children such that,
with the exception of abuse and cruel exploitation of
children, parental rights have never been brought into
question—that is, for the most part up until our historical
interference into basic and human rights inherent in parental
roles.
Planed Parenthood has assaulted all
rights and decency by resorting to tactics designed to
shield children from their parents in such cases that
they determine parents to have the mind and scope of an ape
and unable to provide politically correct care for
their offspring. An insult to all that societies have stood
for, actions and devious demands of this arrogant and
insensitive subversive family police have pulled courts and
agencies into becoming the child’s parental
authority, totally usurping the right of the
parent and making the role of parents subject to
this family police.
A case in point: The reality of actions regarding
this family police struck home to me while I
listened to my car radio. A very distraught mother related how
her daughter, whom she loved very much, almost lost her life.
Unknown to the parents, the daughter legally received an
abortion. It’s ironic that a child must have permission from
parents to take an aspirin at school, but a life or death
decision needs not even have a parental notification in
some states. The legal system removes the child from the scope
of family input, much less family control. The child
becomes an award of the state by the virtue of
the state's usurping total control!
Of course, the fact that the parents cared for the child,
provided every need and gave a home environment to that child
matters nothing to the family police. It matters
not what the family convictions, philosophy or religious
perspective is. The state determines what is right or
wrong for the child totally based on their philosophy,
political outlook and arbitrary decisions! As far as
the state is concerned, parents do not exist as a legitimate
caregiver and influence upon the child when the state
determines to wrest the child away from family ties to submit
to have her unborn child killed.
But this particular story did not end there.
The daughter grieved over what she had been influenced to do.
She no longer had the child and felt the heavy consequences of
her extreme resort to murder.
This daughter withdrew and a short time almost succeeded in
an attempted suicide!
But we see that such scenarios do not in the least
concern planed parenthood. What is that to
them? After all, that makes one less to add to the population
of the world. And if the daughter dies also, that becomes a
bonus in reducing the population.
In reality, population control becomes the
pretext for the feminist power ploys. They
equate so-called right to choose with power to
assert themselves, even at the horrible expense of sacrificing
other human lives forcibly to drive home their
point.

Very disturbing news coming out of Washington with
respect to Congress’ indecision on the Marriage Amendment
carries
detrimental potential against the survivability of our nation,
of our society, as we know it! A report that adverse
influences bear more heavily upon the congressmen than
pro-family efforts must spur the ones of us who believe in
decency and truth to rush to register our support. If we have
