NEW
LOOK
Our text has been revised. We no
longer make frequent use of the he/she,
his/her, himself/herself, etc., gender friendly and neutral
terms. One of the major reasons for this change regards an
effort to make expressions less interrupting;
indeed, some readers find the frequent usage distracting.
While we do seek to be accommodating to gender sensitivities,
we now make use of the generic he, him, etc. without attaching any male chauvinistic slant
to these terms. We trust that for the sake of simplicity and
clarity, everyone will understand the merit of this
change.
About
Kids
The baby arrives to be wrapped in
more than a soft blanket following his preliminary cleaning,
examination and display in the nursery. This little
marvel deserves to be the focal point for the "oos" and "ahs",
but at the same time magnetically charms to be held
and lovingly touched and cuddled by the mother or
the father and even others.
As he grows, swinging the arms and
legs in perpetual motion, sophistication and complexities
begin to edge into the maturing process. After
awhile this little bundle of delight learns to express joy or
distress, pleasure or anger, love or dislike and on and on
until he becomes a kid in his own right.
Kids chime with the spice of life,
active, always exploring, asking some of the most difficult
questions at times, sometimes downright ornery, but full of
vitality and the endless delight of delving into forbidden
corners. But all wrapped in a bundle of love and
acceptance, they show us that life can be an endless venture,
one worthy of all efforts.
While this description of kids
resounds with a bit of idealistic glamour, we all too often
rush headlong into a clash with reality. All too often
in our society the headline news disturb us with stories of
abused children, those victimized by cruel, heartless people
giving vent to their rage or offensive sexual exploits.
As if this could not be bad enough, crazed children sometimes
go on a rampage, as a gang of boys from a western state
overpowered a younger boy, bashing his head in with a ball
bat!
Now tell me that something very
serious is not afflicting our society. These mindless
deeds gage the degeneration all too common in a supposedly
civilized country. Kids are a gift, an investment that
must not be squandered to afford cheap, senseless
gratification to sick, impoverished, inhumane creatures
promoting that sordid mind set, a mind set that has even
inflicted some children with this demonic seizures.
The reason for bringing these
tragedies into the scheme of things should be
obvious. We need to know that we are sick before we can
understand the need for a cure.
Kids can be the greatest delight in
life. I know. I have grandchildren, each very
precious to me! I would like to secure their
future. Are you with me?
Let the symbol to the handshake
translate into a union of good will that we may achieve a
fellowship of light to oppose the darkness that surrounds
us.

Thank you for
visiting our website.
Our aim is to serve the needs of those who
search together with us to explore with a desire to
uncover a greater expanse of truth than we can
ordinarily be aware of. Of course, we make no claims
with respect to cornering the truth, for no person can embrace
total truth any more than the lowly ant can reach the sun
and thoroughly explore the entire burning, exploding
surface. Truth will forever remain greater than the
sum total of all populations of earth, past, present and
future!
Notwithstanding, we move in a direction, ever
growing, ever enamored and learning, ever expanding our
horizons and encountering the reality enlightening the
human soul. Such a journey attests to much more
than mere observations, more than meditations, more than
speculations, more than just an adventure. Certainly,
these elements may well be a reflection of the journey in
part, but ultimately, we shall discover that Reality can
be no less than God Himself! We believe that all of
us can come to the dynamic conclusion that in Him all things
consist (are held together with His meaning and purpose).
--Colossians
1:16-17

A KID'S
DREAMLAND
When I lie down upon my bed, I close my eyes to shut the
door. Erasing every single dread, I float so high above
the floor Until I reach the magic door on the ceiling
just above my bed. Unlocked through imagination and
lore, wonders sparkle from violet to red. I step
through to worlds untold with visions dancing through my
head. Magic worlds by then unfold and lead me on to
dreamland's shed. I'll spend the night in drama's
clutch, as excitement spins me in a whirl With happy
friends who give me much, and magic unfolds like
the glitter of pearl, Or fleeing from a dangerous
gate beyond the which lives a wicked witch So full of
spells and evil hate, or even end the dream with a
twitch.

Good
Friday
For Christians
Good Friday (April 6 this year) represents the ultimate
sacrifice (see Easter). That sacrifice grew
from love and grace.
But there remains a relevancy which speaks volumes to
our modern society, especially with respect to our modern
mindset.
We may focus
vividly on the arrogance and malicious intent of certain
politically motivated initiatives.
The hoards cried
out at the mock trial of Jesus Christ, “Away with Jesus. Crucify Him. Release to us
Barabbas!” (Luke
23:18 paraphrased) That mindset reflects
closely our modern society where heaven and earth are moved to
protect the rights of the guilty, but we cry out feverishly to
crucify the innocent (as with the unborn
children)!
Does this
observation remind us of what is taking place in our judicial
and legislative branches of government in large measure? That attitude
sometimes colors the executive branch of our government, does
it not?
