What’s
Wrong with Ambassador John Bolton?
For one thing, Ambassador
John Bolton just doesn’t fit into this wimpy society,
especially the very liberal political arena!
He
won the admiration of Christian conservatives and those with
backbone, conviction and commitment and those who actually
stood for something in the midst of advocates for a bland,
pluralistic and permissive perspective grounded heavily in
secular materialism.
And, ladies and gentlemen, that posture alone placed
Ambassador John
Bolton in the crosshairs of such egotistical maniacs bent on
hostile assaults against their bitter enemy, Ambassador John
Bolton!
Furthermore,
Ambassador John Bolton dared to believe the reality of
right and wrong, black and white, good and evil and did
not hesitate to call a spade a spade. Within some very
powerful political circles in
Washington the expressions of such conviction brand Ambassador
John Bolton as a bigot and intolerant radical.
But, you know, some of
us would love to see more people with that kind of conviction
in today’s world, the kind of courage and statesmanship of our
forefathers. We grow tired and worry with the
kind of wimpy expressions with which we are bombarded in our
modern times!
Perhaps
some people within our society like to delve into the kind of
fantasy the president of
Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, brazenly
declared with respect to the Holocaust under Hitler’s
Germany.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad needs no
evidence, no kind of proof and no inkling of substantiation
whatsoever, for he himself remains the sole arbiter
through his words alone as to what is true and what is
false. No one
should dare question him. He even declares that
pictures and other evidence of such an event were created or
otherwise greatly exaggerated to produce deception. How does he know
this? But
wait. He does not
need to justify or support his words in any way since he
himself is the generator of
truth!
Many opponents of
Ambassador John Bolton cling to the fantasies of materialistic
naturalism which gives rise to relativism and pluralism. Such philosophical
perspectives scorn the notion of absolutes and create a
disdain for genuine Christian and family values. While it must be
understood that the government cannot disallow wimps to exist,
at the same time we must not allow such a principle to dictate
that those wimps must be granted rights that trump the rights
of others to exist!

What
About …mas?
This …mas season
should be a jolly good time.
Certain
groups seek to make that clear, especially since they do every
conceivable ploy, trick, litigation and intimidation humanly
possible to assure the total absence of Him whose birthday
gave origin to the season in the first place. But
really, should we be surprised at all? These groups make it
perfectly clear that their hostilities against Christ and all
He stands for remain transparent! It’s OK for the
Islamic religion to display its emblem proudly, as in
Chicago,
along beside the Jewish Star of David. But for Christians
to display a nativity scene creates an earthshaking roar of
indignant protests ending in litigation.
Excuse us who believe in reality, but
isn’t there something wrong with that picture? In other
words, such organizations as the ACLU, Americans United, etc.,
can pick and choose and by the claim to omnipotence
arbitrarily force everyone else to dance to their tune,
allowing other religious groups liberty to express themselves
simply on the grounds that they do not endorse Christianity or
they are even openly hostile toward Christians. How can
this be different from blatant and arrogant duplicity and
censorship?
We mean, tell us. Or just maybe an issue
can only be consider true merely by the fact the words are
uttered from the lips of the only real authority to
create truth by words alone, the ACLU and all its other
cohorts.
Of course, if Christians lay claims to rights, they
would be held up to the most vicious scrutiny and
unrelentingly subjected to counterclaims. Again, why
is it that Christians must eternally be expected to justify
the very hint of claims while the hostile enemies of
Christianity expect never to be required to justify any of
their claims?
Oh, well, we could go on and on for volumes, but
perhaps there remain enough decent people who already see what
is happening and who rely on the truth of the Scriptures,
If the world hates you, you know that
it hated Me [Christ] before it
hated you (John 15:18).

An Election Year
Prayer
Our
God and Our
King,
At this election
year of 2006, help us to rely upon You and the fire of
Your Holy Power
and Inspiration that our eyes will see beyond the superficial
and the artificial.
Make us mindful of the trap the natural person tends to
ignore such that he easily becomes distracted to follow the
deceptive trails of self-embellishment that lead to rebellion
against God, truth, life and family values.
Yes, we would hold
these natural persons up to you that somehow You would give
them a keen sensitivity to their plight and help them turn to
the truth and commit themselves to vote for those who strongly
support Christian and family values, those who espouse life in
a culture of death, those who uphold the sanctity of true
marriage, those who are statesmen for the true values of our
forefathers, those who demonstrate a fervor for truth and
light in a society all too often exposed to shades of darkness
and relativism.
Help us, Oh, Lord,
our God, to use the talent through the voting booth You have
given us in our country to let our voice be heard loud and
clear. May we
rally as a mighty force of our God to turn our nation back
into the paths of righteousness. Give us
confidence in the God who has helped us heretofore to do the
impossible, for You are a God of the impossible! May we act in faith
that during this election year Our God will dissipate the
great darkness and continue to establish Christian and family
values in our society.
Yes, Lord, we
place our full confidence in You. You are the God Who
parted the Red
Sea to allow Your
people to cross on dry land. You are the God Who
toppled the walls of Jericho. You are the God Who
has done many and wondrous signs to express Your Power and
Authority. Yes,
even in the last general election You have helped our nation
to overcome the tide of the death march down the
road toward obliteration of religious liberties, unrestrained
sadistic murder of unborn children, including partial birth
abortion, assault on traditional marriage,
silencing Christian expressions, etc. Even though our
enemies continue to hamper our efforts to secure these
precious freedoms, they have not been able to halt our efforts
to gain a genuine legal standing to secure these
liberties. Would
You not only bring our enemies to defeat, but give genuine
fire within us to assure the continued progress toward
complete liberation for the establishment and expression of
all these values within our country?
To our God be all
honor and glory both now and forevermore!
In Jesus name we
do pray.
Amen!

Isn’t
It High Time that Everyone Vote in the Upcoming
Election?
But how then
should we vote?
After
all, to listen to politicians with claims and counterclaims
disposes us toward confusion and a sense of futility, does it
not?
But
perhaps we really need direction. If we seek to stay the
course and continue to make progress toward family and
Christian values, toward pro-life and moral and spiritual
liberties to express ourselves, etc., we certainly need to
know which candidates support our values. How can we
know?
A
little research may very well be in order. Check out
Vote Smart to learn where candidates stand on issues. That way each one of
us may vote his own convictions!

What
is Going on?
Shots ring out in our
schools, our troops fare poorly against a determined enemy
providing a costly setback in the battle against evil,
corruption surfaces in the high places in government and
elsewhere
–these
lead us toward the point of despair! Why? Indeed, what may we
conclude the significance of these popcorn-like occurrences
shocking our awareness with unrelenting frequency?
Has it ever
occurred to us that God may be calling to us? After all, is our
strength and security wrapped up in ourselves or in our
God? Indeed, do
we find that life is all about us or about our relationship
with our Almighty Creator and Redeemer? Isn’t it about time
for us to return to the God of our forefathers? Did not our
forefathers acknowledge God, not only in private life, but in
their public and political involvement?
Think about
that!

The
Gun Held to our Heads
Planed
Parenthood
must
find its smug, arrogant position a fairly secure one! After all,
we as taxpayers support their brazen, sadistic
enterprise against innocent unborn children with many millions
of dollars annually.
The sad fact remains that those of us who had rather
die ourselves than to give one single penny toward this
savagery are never given any choice in the matter
whatsoever. Uncle
Sam holds a gun to our heads, so to speak. We must pay taxes, for
if we refuse, our property becomes confiscated toward our tax
liability.
Allow
us to picture the dramatic, gory procedure we unwillingly
support. An
innocent, unborn child's very life can exist only at
the mercy of the mother. Every mother has been given an
option to have the unborn baby cruelly and excruciatingly
dismembered and murdered. The unborn child
simply has no recourse, no hope and no one to care about
the fact that this child is truly a unique,
God-created person. The executioners can
only play the role of God simply because they choose not to
believe there can even be a God at all. They care not that the
baby had no choice in coming into existence and cannot ever be
guilty of intruding into the womb of his mother. The mother herself
invited the child in through the choice of the sexual act,
except in the rare cases of rape. Yet,
even in rape the child had no choice in the matter. Is it right to punish
the child for the acts of
others?
The
greatest insult to us who grieve over such atrocities comes by
the slap of Uncle Sam to make support for this Nazi-like
organization mandatory!
Please pray that God Almighty will pass a
swift, harsh judgment against those responsibly for trashing
our nation upon the garbage heap of society! And pray
that our nation will mourn and turn to God through
repentence.

Some
Sobering Thoughts
When a
congressman has been exposed for his ethical and moral
corruption,
he
truly needs to face the consequences,
but to bring into question the family
and religious values he had been supporting in his legislative
disposition and stance really speaks of political
exploitation.
OK,
take out a dollar bill and examine it. In all probability, it
can be shown to be authentic. This does not negate
the fact that counterfeit dollars circulate in some measure in
our nation. Now,
does the existence of the counterfeit invalidate the real
dollar bill?
Absolutely not!
In like manner, does the support of family and
religious values by the corrupt congressman mean that family
and religious values should not receive consideration in the
legislative agenda?
May we dare suggest that by far the majority of decent
Americans would shout a resounding
NO! This sad and horrible
incident should not be an excuse to ignite a war against
decency and family and religious values. Christ Himself spoke
against such arrogant hypocrites by stating that they
strain at a gnat and swallow a camel These politicians who
exploit this kind of situation toward political ends may be
seen as those who would throw the baby out with the bath
water.
Indeed, that’s
really something to think about!
Sobering
Thoughts Postscript (October
3, 2006):
Certainly, while Rep.
Mark Foley should receive the full prosecution for his
criminal actions,
any
other person or persons privy to Rep. Foley’s criminal efforts
should also be held fully accountable for negligence or
failure to take appropriate actions. While many of us
agree with the forging of religious and family values through
the legislative process, we would never tolerate the
dastardly, underhanded breach of decency leading to the
breakdown of Christian and family values with respect to the
personal involvement of anyone, either conservatives or
liberals.
But to allow the truth
to explode into the consciousness of those who prefer to bask
in delusions, we seek to relate the obvious: THROUGHOUT HISTORY
EVERY DECENT AND WORTHY CAUSE DRAWS THOSE WHO, FOR ONE REASON
OR ANOTHER, BECOME THE TRAITORS OF THAT CAUSE!
Enough said. May those who will
heed digest this truth.
Furthermore,
we urge that we as Christians concerned about our freedoms
never fail to vote for those who have the same values based
within the Constitution of the
United
States,
even though there remains a risk of inadvertently voting for
some whose characters have been kept from public
knowledge.

Snips
of Newsworthy Events
The military chaplains
continue to suffer repression under the failure of the armed
forces to allow religious liberty and freedom of
speech.
Indeed,
defiance of the Constitution of the
United
States
continues to expand with impositions of a state
religion upon the chaplaincy. In restricting
chaplains from serving according to their religious
convictions and conscience to pray other than the government’s
bland prayer, the military authorities have destroyed much of
the effectiveness of chaplains. In failing to enact
legislation to correct this atrocity, the Senate apparently
does not wish to grant religious liberty to chaplains,
demanding that these chaplains comply with the restrictions
against their own hearts and character. Too bad that we
continue to lose our freedoms!
………
The threat of
some senators to resort to the filibuster against needed
appointees and against bills to ensure freedoms
reminds
us all that the elite minority demands to rule over the
majority. Just
where in the Constitution of the
United
States
do we have the faintest suggestion that the majority should
meekly surrender democracy in favor of autocracy by
aristocracy?
………
The United
Nations reminds
us constantly just how biased and duplicitous they can
be! Just about
the time we feel they have reached the very pits, new and
audacious depths signal their overall animosity against the
United States, Israel and democracies in general and their
hatred of Christian ethical and moral purity in
particular. The
support of international abortion
by the United Nations, for example, tags them as a force
of darkness and evil in our world. The United Nations has
become anything but an international forum to promote world
peace. As
a whole they demonstrate far more interest in hostile posture
against the West and favoritism extended toward terrorist
nations! Now, are we justified in
concluding that we live in a world torn by madness and
mindless enterprises? To
many of us it seems that the United Nations has become an
arm to eradicate the sovereingty of the United States and
Israel, as well as all other free countries. Perhaps their
transparent ploy toward establishing a world government should
be of grave concern to all of us. Or do we really want
to surrender our sovereignty to such a
monster?

Two
Disasters Can Be Warnings!
Katrina
and the 911 catastrophes (Katrina, a year ago from
the last part of August this year and the 911
attack, five years ago from this September 11) may well
have something crucial to say about our society and to our
society.
Indeed, in the course of a multiplicity of
uncontrollable assaults against our society and in a large
degree against our entire world, many of us seek some
sense to the utter mindless fanaticism driving fascist
radicals in a blitz of destructive mania. On top of this
furious, bewildering and desperate vulnerability that we
suffer in a world gone mad, we tend to beat our heads, as it
were, against a brick wall in a panic wishing to find
some sense or purpose, but to no avail. Out of this caldron
brews the brutal sadism of terrorists. As if this alone were
not far more than enough, a slap from the natural order
through hurricanes (such as Katrina and other deadly storms)
triggers questions that explode with rapid succession from our
unsettled minds
If there is a God,
where is He in all this chaotic whirlwind thrusting unbearable
captivity upon us?
Why does God not
only ignore our plight, but also ignore our
cries?
How now do we move
and find direction and purpose in the midst of real threats to
draw our whole world into a fatal
conflict?
It would be too easy for some Christians to withdraw
into a spiritual vacuum characterized by a denial of
accountability, which denial produces aloofness and a
judgmental and insensitive criticism of all others.
Even if these questions are based upon a false premise,
the expressions reflected through these questions can attest
to genuine concerns.
Some people seek desperately to cope with threats from
whatever level and background providing the frame of reference
for their responses or reactions. Therefore, to ignore
theses questions moves us to ignore the people whose needs
become evident through the search demonstrated by the
questions themselves.
Whether they are right or wrong must not be
the real issue.
The major concern for us all should be to reach out
with love and compassion to those who cry for help. While
issues are indeed important, they must be applied in a way to
help people, never to seal them within their plights.
In this light, allow us to consider these questions
within the scope of reaching out a hand of love and concern to
the people raising these
questions:
If there is a
God, where is He in all this chaotic whirlwind thrusting
unbearable captivity upon us?
First,
God does sometimes seem distant, greatly remote from our
desires to draw some sense of security and love that make our
journey through life meaningful. We should take courage
in knowing that the expression of our concerns can definitely
become the first step toward recovery (check the story of the
book of Job).
The
book of Job declares that God spoke to Job out of
the whirlwind! In other words, God
does not remove Himself from our deepest despair in life. From this we may
gather that our confusion and sense of disorientation and
detachment can never separate any of
us from the love of God (Romans, chapter 8). While Romans
specifically addresses Christians, Paul does not exclude
sinners from God’s love and concern, for Christ died for all,
the whole world.
However, everyone must come to a disposition to respond
to God’s outreach to be brought into His family (see
Salvation).
Second, since original sin and
the fall (Genesis, chapter 3), the
whole creation has been thrust into conflict between the
forces of light and the forces of darkness. The
fall pushes the complete realization and
fulfillment of God’s purpose into the future when God’s reign
and peace will cover the earth as the water covers the
sea. Thus, we
must contend with the curse, the plight of sickness,
loneliness, destitution and death during the normal course of
life.
Intermingled with the curse,
God’s presence brings joy, peace, meaning, love and
purpose. However,
we must come to realize that God’s perfect Kingdom cannot be
realized in this present world. Though we must be
faced with the whirlwinds of life, God can walk with us, as He
did with Job.
This in no way means that we must enjoy suffering and
all the ills brought upon us by the fall, but we can see
beyond the trials to the purpose God has when we keep our
focus on God.
Why does God not
only ignore our plight, but also ignore our
cries? It is right to
cry! We ought to
express ourselves, whether we are right or wrong. The psalmists often
cried out to God to express great disappointment and sometimes
asked in so many words, God, where are you? How long will you not
hear us?
(Psalm 4, Psalm 6,
Psalm 13, etc).
To deny the obvious would become a slap against God
Himself. We must
do no less than to be transparent with ourselves and with God,
and we will find God big enough to embrace us in our honest
expressions.
But if that is the case, why natural
disasters that ravage our shores, such as Katrina, the “Act of
God,” so to speak?
We can halfway understand the onslaught of our enemies,
those who forge evil intent against us, but why does the hand
of God lash out against us?
Again, we must feel free to express our genuine
concerns. It’s
all part of being honest with our God. While none of us can
completely understand all the ways of God in His infinite
wisdom, we may clearly find clues within His Holy Word. First, to reiterate
strongly and emphatically what has already been declared
stoutly, God did not create His universe to include all the
evils we encounter, even in nature itself. Sin and the fall
brought a vast breach between God and His world. All humanity has been
alienated from God and in some measure dwells at enmity with
God (see Genesis, chapter 3 and following). Christ alone bridges
that gap and brings a process of transformation and
restoration, but we are never removed from the curse of the
fall, not until we pass from this life into the
next.
Second, God has not relinquished His control over the
natural order no more than He does over the affairs of people,
even though the fall has imposed the dreaded curse. Sure, God could have
prevented disasters such as Katrina unleashed against our
coastal areas.
But allow us to consider the fact that some elements
within our country, though in the minority, have banded
together to oppose any expression that would even acknowledge
God, and through certain judicially belligerent judges God has
been invited in no uncertain terms to leave our nation. In a measure, they
have been successful in kicking God out of our
nation. All the
Mighty Creator need do is to leave us to ourselves and
experience the consequences of our rejecting
Him!
Hence, repentance and confession as a nation can do
much to deliver us from the strong arm of some of the judicial
terrorism we have suffered. Honesty with God and
authenticity with each other can never be compromised without
intensifying our alienation from God.
Furthermore, we can never know what all remains
beneath the surface until we openly acknowledge our struggle
before our Creator, Sustainer and Redeemer. We can never become
more than what we are until we truly do become what we
are! That alone
can be the point of growth.
As we confess our hurt and our inability to make sense
in what we perceive to be our God’s neglect, genuine
communication can be established before this Mighty God of the
universe. Only
then can we be open to a new vision
through our crisis (Isaiah, the 6th
chapter). The
words “In the year that king Uzziah died…” represents a very
critical moment in history for Isaiah, for he lost what he
perceived to be a stabilizing influence in his world. Yet, through his
vision Isaiah found the genuine source of purpose and
stability, God alone.
While we cannot glibly pour out rivers of platitudes
and hope to resolve the turmoil produced by modern day
whirlwinds, we can be sensitive to the real problems unique to
our time frame in history and help people to focus beyond this
world and find the genuine fountainhead of peace and
direction. We can
eventually come to the place not to assess life in terms of
longevity and wellbeing, but in the ultimate purpose for our
existence.
However, this awareness can only be a process and may
never be completely achieved within this world.
How now do we
move and find direction and purpose in the midst of real
threats to draw our whole world into a fatal conflict? Again,
we must understand the reality of our entanglement within the
complex maze that has given rise to claims and counterclaims,
great conflicts of ideas and ideologies, bigotry and
sectarianism pushing to radical resorts, denial of absolutes
with assault on truth and reality, unprecedented egomania, and
the list moves infinitely into the deep abyss of total
rebellion against all that is right and decent. Absolutely, we find
ourselves in a major conflict whether we concede or not. Two forces continue to
clash, the dark forces of evil against light, truth and
reality (as found in Christ; see Salvation). This remains true in
spite of attempts to blur the line between right and
wrong.
Therefore, our purpose and direction in life can be
discovered through honesty. We must keep our eyes
opened in a world bent on deception and subterfuge. Righteous anger can
arouse us to take our stand on the battlefield and with
determination to eradicate the darkness and egomania, shouting
with conviction that truth and dedication can
overcome and silence the enemies of freedom and
right.
God has given us the battle cry and whether we live or
die in the commitment to truth and light can not be the
deciding factor, for those of us who really know God
understand that physical death simple ushers us into the glory
beyond this tainted world to everlasting
bliss.

Children
Herded Off to Brainwashing
Exercises!
California’s
atrocious bills, if enacted, will rip children from
parental control altogether and make them an award of the
state.
So-called public schools will be no less
than modern day concentration camps to form robotic clones to
replicate the religion of homosexual
deviants in defiance of Christian and home
values.
Any opposition to the gay agenda
can be interpreted as “hate crimes”
and suffer the outrage of the new state-established religion
and can incur the
consequences!
Christianity will become greatly censored and
restricted severely under the new state dictatorship. Those who proclaim
Christianity will be branded as bigots because
of intolerance of the state religion. (Of course,
tolerance must be defined as agreeing
one-hundred percent with the state religion; any minute
disagreement must be branded as
intolerance!)
In
view of what could possibly happen, we may wonder about the
faults in California (such as
San Andreas
Fault) that
could produce unprecedented catastrophic upheavals to thrust
California
out into the Pacific
Ocean. While none of us would
wish all the innocent people to suffer such loss, it seems
that there are those in California
creating a political catastrophe which could indeed become
just as devastating as the physical catastrophe which is
already a very real threat!

ACLU
Rejoices!
Over this past
weekend, the
ACLU expressed great jubilation over the news
that U.S. District Judge
Anna Diggs Taylor in
Detroit declared the warrantless wiretapping practice to
preserve the security of our nation
unconstitutional!
So,
because the British successfully halted the terrorist plot
based on information received from warrantless
wiretapping, did the ACLU and some judges under the
disposition of judicial
tyranny
regret that the terrorists could not succeed against airliners
and consequently the ACLU and its sympathizers had to miss
out because of the thwarted fire works against the United
States and Britain?
And now they seek to insure that terrorist attempts to
destroy life and property |
